If you don’t see her dancing as part of the Ballet Folklorico or interning at St. Mary’s Health Services, Nereida is at the Steepletown Center helping her student complete his high school diploma through the Mexican Consulate. Nereida grew up down the street from the Steepletown Center, where she participated in the summer Peace Club for many years. She now serves on Steepletown’s Board, bringing a unique perspective of the neighborhood to the table.
