Rose is a friendly face that greets you when you walk into Chemical Bank on Bridge Street. Chemical Bank has been a long time partner with Steepletown, and Rose has been always willing to roll up her sleeves. She has volunteered to prepare income tax returns for low-income residents who have come to Steepletown as part of the Kent County Tax Credit Coalition’s VITA Program, and with Steepletown’s presence at Festival downtown. But Rose doesn’t stop there. With the large number of Spanish-speaking customers at the bank, Rose jumped at the opportunity to take the “Spanish for Neighbors” class at the Steepletown Center, where she has been studying since January.
